Stockings For Soldiers was founded to help improve the morale and welfare of members of the armed forces of the United States of America deployed in harm’s way. They accomplish their mission by sending holiday stockings and filling them with special items for the troops.
Many of the stockings that are sent are filled with items such as basic toiletries, comfort items from home (crosswords, snacks, etc.) For many troops, this gift may be all that they receive for the holidays. Stockings For Soldiers tries to send a “touch of home” as well as personal messages of support to remind our troops that we appreciate all they do for us and to let them know that they have not been forgotten over the holidays.
Matthew S., the nephew of one of our sales staff at UBSNA, has taken on this “Stockings For Soldiers” project in his community – and we, as UBSNA are proud to be able to contribute to such a worthy cause. Thank you, Matthew – and, of course, a huge thank you to all those who serve or have served in our military – as well as their families (who also make a huge sacrifice at the holidays).
UBSNA hopes to continue to find ways to contribute (through financial assistance, acts, services and so on) to the overall well being of our community.
Universal Business Solutions is proud to announce Edi Feratovic as our November 2016 Employee of the Month!
Edi joined UBSNA on November 16, 2015 as our technical dispatch coordinator. She came to us with five years of customer service experience under her belt and has not let us down once. Every morning the staff walk into the office, they are greeted by her huge smile and an upbeat ‘Good Morning!’
Her cheerful attitude resonates through the phone and emails when assisting our clients. She genuinely cares for our clients being taken care of and of her teammates getting the job done.
When asked what she likes most about working at UBSNA, she said “My team and the positive environment.”
Thank you, Edi!
This #GivingTuesday, UBSNA was proud to support The Greater New York Conference of Seventh-day Adventists with a special $10,000 donation. The donation will serve to support student scholarships at the network of GNYC schools throughout the New York area.
